I cannot open the disc platter
My computer's disc platter refuses to open. I have tried the override hole on the front and even gently pulled the platter, but no results. Any ideas?

Hi---- Just a suggestion.. This happens to me periodically and I go to explorer , right click on the drive, and click "eject" ------ shazam, it opens.
After that I have a long period when all works fine.. Again, just a suggestion, hope it helps.. Jerry
