computer crashes when using cd drive
My computer seems to crash every time I try to install new software, rip cds, or do just about anything involving my CD/DVD drive. I thought my CPU was just overheating but this isn't the case as the temp is only 28C. I'm fairly new to this PC world and really don't have any idea what the problem could possibly be. Is there some kind of benchmark test I could use to find an answer? Or does someone out there in 1s and 0s land have any ideas as to what the problem could be? Please help!
