Cd drive problem

I have done a few mods to my acer aspire t180-ua350b such as a new video cardcase fan new processor and some ram, but my disk drives arent working.It worked with the ram and the video card but hasnt worked since i switched the processor.It is very frusterating because i cant play my games. i tried a new IDE ribbon and that didnt work and i have also tried unplugging and replugging it a lot. please help THANKS.

When you put the old processor in it works?

the processor does yes, but not the cd drive

Are there lights on the drive? Can it open and close?

yes pwer runs to it fine

Did you change out your power supply? I am assuming the cd drive is set to slave, correct?

if you can see them listed in the bios correctly
remove the upper and lower filters
