DVD burner and grpahics card wont work, Some programs wont open.

Last week my graphics card decided not to work. At the same time my dvd burner decided not to burn! Programs like Microsoft word and turbolister, an ebay seller tool, wont open either. I try to run Ad Aware S.E but it freezes up on me. AVG virus scanner finds nothing.

Please help me! I don't know what to do. I did re-install the graphics card drivers but it didn't work. The DVD player does burn, just not through windows xp. I have to use the sony "drag and drop to cd" tool. It is a pain.

Any advice for me? Still the same problems... it seems programs are dropping one by one or else i'm just discovering them now.

sfc /scannow
if you think you are infected follow the 5 steps

they are snowed under over in security so it may be a few days before they get to you
