Installing Magicspin Dual Format DVD+RW/+R Drive into my Emachine W3050!

Hello all, I have an Emachine, bought used, has Win xp, dvd drive won't burn disk, won't install some software programs, but will play cd's. I have another internal Magicspin Dual Format DVD+RW/+R Drive that I would like to install into my Emachine. However, I don't want to do it if there is any chance that I will mess up my computer. I have worked on computers before so I am pretty confident that I can do it, once I get the right directions. So, if anyone can help me please do so, and if you guys tell me, NO DON'T DO IT, Well I won't! Ha! Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Can you tell me the processor speed of this E-Machine? Just asking because some DVD+RW require a certain processor speed to run effectively.

You may run into performance issues with this CPU. Anyhow hare is a link for your review:

I would find the specs on the MagicSpin and see if your CPU will cause problems.
