Dvd Rom Drive Issue

I am currently using a DVD ROM drive it is a SOHD-16P9S

it runs both CDs and DVDs.

Now here is my confusion: It recognizes all CDs and DVDs that I put into the drive, and shows its content. I recently purchased the adobe premiere and photoshop elements bundle, now the CDs are recognizes on other machines, but oddly enough on my home PC, with the setup worth using premiere on, says that there is no CD in the drive, and I am not able to install. I have downloaded the most recent updates for the drive, and yet still it shows nothing from the drive.

Please, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

uninstall the upper and lower filters
