Advice on DVD Drive Choice.
So, I've been running a wonderfully mediocre Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop that decided not to have a DVD drive. I was wondering how to go about obtaining and which DVD drive to get. External or Internal? What sort of inputs will I need? The Spec sheet says there is one, but it is not really there. I never have had one before on this box.

Re: Choices Choices...
Well, I personally would get an external one. Doesn't really matter which one. I would go with the cheapest. USB would be the way to go, and off hand the only external type I can think of.

Re: Choices Choices...
You can go with the internal, if you feel comfortable installing it.

Re: Choices Choices...
I would go for it. You can get a DVD burner now for 20 dollars or less plus a dollar or two for shipping. Installation is easy- if you're unsure of how to do it, just read the pamphlet that comes with it, and post a question here if you're still hazy.
