Seagate FreeAgent 250 GB Exteranl Hard disk not dected by XP machine
I have a Seagate FreeAgent 250 GB Exteranl Hard disk. I used to use it before by accessing the drive from my computers, recently I have reinstalled XP with Service pack 2 on my system. Now the external harddrive is neither visible in my computers or in the
MyComputers->Manage->DiskManagement. Please help?? |

Hi there and welcome to TSF.
This is usually a bproblem with your USB drivers. Look in Device Manager by pressing Start, then right-clicking My Computer and selecting Properties. Click on the hardware tab and select Device Manager. Look at your USB controllers and check that they are working properly or whether they have a yellow question mark. It may be necessary to reinstall the drivers.
