Lite-On not working after Itunes upgrade?
Hello all, I've been researching all over as to why my burner has stopped working and i stumbled across this forum, hopefully someone here can figure out what the hell is wrong with my burner...
OK, I built this computer a few months ago and the Lite-On LH-20A1L worked perfectly until a few days ago when I updated to the latest Itunes. Every time I opened Itunes a message would come up saying that the Burner was not recognized, I researched this and found out that it's because its not fully compatible with Vista x64. Well, now the burner dosnt recognize any disc whatsoever. I checked the autoplay settings and every time I insert a CD or DVD into the drive, it just doesn't do anything. It doesn't spin up and doesn't recognize the disk. If I click on the burner in my computer it opens a window saying "please insert a disc into the drive" and ejects the tray. It's as if there is no disc in the burner. What has this Apple product done to my computer?! I uninstalled, and reinstalled the burner, uninstalled itunes before i did this, tried updating the drivers, nothing seems to work. so thats why i'm here asking you guys for some insight as to how i can fix this! thanks! |
