Computer wont read CD ROM drive
Got a new Dell computer with Vista and for some odd reason the CD ROM drive just won't work. When I click on MY COMPUTER there isn't even a CD ROM icon . It's almost as if it's not there. I opened up the tower, disconnected and reconnected a few wires and still nothing's changed.
What gives?

Re: Computer wont read CD ROM drive
Start the computer and repeatedly tap the F2 key, this will get you into bios also called setup.
When you get in there you will not have a mouse you will have to use the keyboard, look around to see it the drive is listed, it would be listed on the same screen as your hardrive. When you exit, exit without saving. |
