got a CD that's about 4 years old

It has some old files of mine. I want to rip them to my PC and send them to someone, but when I put it in my machine and click view files, the screen is blank. It shows nothing in there! Then if I try to go to My computer, and right click on the D drive my comp will freeze! this is teh ONLY CD that will do this.

If I take the CD out and put it in my sisters old comp, it will show up fine and I can rip stuff. So *** is going on? I have a litescribe writemaster DVD-RW drive

It happens. With a disk that old, and new ones. Your drive does not
like the media, or the way it was burned. It is what it is...
