New DVD Writer extremely slow?!

So I just managed to get the damn thing working (liteon 20x dvd rw) and it has taken over half an hour to burn a 20 minute clip onto dvd?! That's on super standard play (the most space saving) using DVD+RW 120min discs. The bloke in the shop said that it should do about an hour of video every 3 minutes (20x), but that is with DVD+R which is fair enough, it still says on the box that DVD+RW should burn at 8x however, so that should only take a few minutes still?! I'm using usb 2.0, what the hell?!

Right i've attached my first burn log, the quality was terrible at super standard play but it still took over half an hour to burn!

Any advice?

This could actually be a very schoolboy / noob error.........
Is it because the discs I am using are only dvd+rw 1-4x? I take it I need to get 16x or 20x? Please can someone tell me??
