Urgent hlp for captureing video!
I jsut spent $60 on this VHS to PC/DVD capture thing (called a DVD Maker USB 2.0)
I was all excited about finally converting my movie I made when a kid from VHS to DVD. SO I got out my VHS player, set it next to my comp and plugged it in. I next got out the USB thing, and there was one end that has a USB plug and audio plug for the comp. The other end has a red and white AV thing combined into one small box looking thing. the other wires are a fat yellow one, which says it is the S-video one, and a black circular one which says it is Composite in. So all is well and good until you notice that for some reason the guy who made these USb converters decided to make it so that the wires on the end of the USB thing that need to go into the VHS player, are the SAME FREAKIN PLUG SIZE AS ON THE VHS PLAYER!!!!!!!!! There is no way to plug these wires into the VHS player cause they are of the same type as the one on the VHS player if that makes any sense. What I am trying to say is that normally when you plug something into the AV outlets on teh VHS player/DVD player, etc, there are long thing needle like plugs that you put into the holes. the plugs on this USB converter ARE THE HOLES!!!!! How do I get this to work!!! |

Re: Urgent hlp for captureing video!
You'll need an adapter for each line. I'd suggest Radio Shack as a starting place.
Now that I've seen the pic of what you're using . . . You'll need two or three "RCA" type cords. Use one for the video and the other one or two for the audio depending on if your VCR is stereo or mono. You should be able to get these anywhere that sells audio equipment.
