CDRW tray sticks open
My CDRW is an ARTEC WSM-52x. The tray is out when the computer is off. When I turn the computer on, the tray goes in, then goes out and stays out. If I press the button to make the tray go in, it goes in, then immediately goes out. I cannot get the tray to stay open.

Re: CDRW tray sticks open
Hi, Bettyewoc,
I think you mean you can't keep the tray closed. I had the same problem on an E-Machine, I ended up replacing the CD/RW drive. Problem solved (something to do within the CD drive). In my opinion I would replace the CDRW drive, If you have no other issues. Thanks, Bill |
