CD-RW Drive Not Working (There Is Power To It)

Hi,

This on behalf of someone else. The CD Drive has power going to it and the light flickers when computer is turning on, and flash's when pressing the eject button.

The power cables have been changed and the IDE cables have. There isnt any cd in there so i cant be stuck.

The PSU it only 2 months old with 500 Watts,

I have no idea what else it can be.

Does the disc tray slide out at all?? Does it sound like its trying to do anything when presses the eject button?

Nop It doesnt come out even a little bit, and there is no sound after or during pressing the eject button.
