[SOLVED] DVD-RW Burn
What can I do to burn to a DVD-RW?
Windows XP. TSST corp DVD/CD Burner TS-h552d. Burner works great burning CD's and DVD-Rs. Will not burn DVD-RWs (data or pictures). When I drag and drop, the error message is "Windows encountered a problem when trying to access the folder." When I use NERO the error message is "Burn process failed at 2x(2770kbs)". |

Re: DVD-RW Burn
Hi ok
Welcome to TSF!¬ Two things to try. First try different media (blank discs) as that could be a problem. Second try to update the firmware of your dvd drive. Let me know how you go or if you need further assistance.

Re: DVD-RW Burn
it will be on one of the tools or action tabs in your burning software
dvd-r cannot be reused so their is no need for a format rw disks like h/d's are formattable

Re: DVD-RW Burn
I have Music Match Jukebox, Nero Version 6, and Studio Version 9. I cannot find a format command on any tab.
My DVD drive is TS-H552D. I have a request in to TOSHIBA for firmware updates.Toshiba lists 552A, B, C and U but no D. Thanks for any further guidance. |

Re: DVD-RW Burn
In Nero 6 go to Recorder > Erase Rewritable Disc, select the drive (if you have more than one) from the dropdown menu, select Quick-Erase at maximum speed and click the Erase button.

Re: DVD-RW Burn
Hooray!!! It worked!!!! Who would have thought that one would have to erase a new disk in order to record on it?
This is another example of a culture that has one go to "Start" in order to quit. Many thanks koala. |
