Evil Help with DVD player/burner

I bought a LiteOn DVD burner and it came with Nero7 Essentials software. Had everything installed and working fine. Then I had to do a system restore, afterwards, I deleted the Nero software so I could do a fresh instal, and now when I try to install the software, it gets almost to the end then a window pops up saying "Unable to access shell manager". and it won't complete the installation. What do I need to do to get it to finish installing?

Re: Help with DVD player/burner

didn't work, however it does show Nero Show Time Essentials when I click the start button, but when I try to run it I get the error "This Program requires the file advrcntr2.dll which was not found on this system. I am assuming that the file isn't on there because the first error I mentioned stopped the installation.

Re: Help with DVD player/burner

I just did some research and this said it helped alot of people:

How to remove the problem

Down load the all clean tool from Nero and save it.
http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/General_CleanTool.html
Open control panel/add-remove program and delete all Nero applications.
Run Nero cleanTool twice.( select all options to remove)
then exit.
Restart the computer.
Reinstall the Nero software.
Restart the computer.

Try this and see if it works

Re: Help with DVD player/burner

yes, looks like that did it. I'm downloading the free upgrade so it will play Dolby sound, and I burned the Nero cleaner to cd, just in case i need it again.

thanks!

Re: Help with DVD player/burner

That could be a codec problem with WMP, try the Klite media codecs
