[resolved]Lite-ON CD Burner

Ok, I have a Lite-On CD-RW: LITE-ON CD-RW SOHR-5239V, and a DVD-ROM: LITE-ON DVD SOHD-16P9SV. Both will NOT function with the drivers windows provides, they just bring up "?" I can't update firmware fro them because Windows can't make them function. Lite-On does not provide drivers, as I thought they wouldn't. Also, incase somebody didn't know, I'm running Win 2000 Pro.

Re: Lite-ON CD Burner

Thank you, every thing is fixed now. If you don't mind me asking, how'd you know to do that? I am asking because I searched around the forum and couldn't find any other topics.

Re: [resolved]Lite-ON CD Burner

Oh. What exactly causes it, I have done multiple installs of Windows 2000 Pro before with same drivers (I messup my computer quite a bit) and never had any problems before.

Re: [resolved]Lite-ON CD Burner

it should not cause a problem if the first fix did'nt work the next was to uninstall and reinstall the burning software
