Toshiba 32x scsi bootable?
I have a Toshiba 32x SCSI cdrom drive and I am not sure if it supports bootable cd's. It is XM6201TASUN32XCD. The motherboard that it is on is old, however I have booted off an older sony scsi drive. In the CMOS it doesn't give me the option to boot scsi, however I have only scsi devices on the computer so it defaults to the controller. The controller does support booting cd's and it is enabled. Anyone have any ideas? I find it hard to believe that an older scsi cdrom would be able to boot but my newer 32x one doesn't.

Re: Toshiba 32x scsi bootable?
Does the BIOS recognize the CD drive? If so, set the CD drive to first in the boot order.

Re: Toshiba 32x scsi bootable?
The bios on the scsi controller does recognize the drive and I can use it no problem on my BSD OS. I have checked the motherboard cmos and as I stated before there is no boot scsi option, there is a boot CD option but it doesn't work for some reason with the newer drive.
