Video Conversion Help

I've been trying like crazy to convert a certain video of mine into one that can be played in a DVD player. I have actually been successful with a similar one in the past, but for some reason now I can't get it to work.
The video I am trying to convert is .WMV, as was the one I actually got to work. The one I got to work, I converted to an MPEG-2, and it's worked just fine in my DVD player (APEX Brand), using FX Video Joiner. However, I tried to do the same thing for the newest one, but the DVD player won't read the file. I have also tried other formats, including .AVI, MPEG-1, VCD, and SVCD, but all of those have failed as well. The working video is on a SONY-brand CD-R, and the only blank CD-R's I have at the moment are Maxell CD-R's. Both brands are multi-media versions. Would the brand of the CD-R necessarily make a difference? Thank you to everyone who helps me in any way with this problem.

Re: Video Conversion Help

I'm sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that I don't have a DVD burner. I'm just using a normal CD burner (Lite-On Brand), so DVDSanta won't work in my case. Also, I'm looking for something that won't leave any sort of watermark on the video. Again, I'm sorry for not clearing those issues up. Thanks again for any help you guys can give me.

Re: Video Conversion Help

First off, the file size for the video I am trying to convert now is 7.69 MB, and the one I successfully converted earlier was originally 4.35 MB(It's now 14.5 MB after the conversion). Also, I downloaded and installed the firmware update successfully, and tried it all again, and nothing has changed on the converting front, as the converted files still don't play in my DVD player (I also probably should have mentioned it's a standard, connected-to-my-TV DVD player.) Hope this new info helps, and if you guys get any more ideas that can hopefully help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Video Conversion Help

Yeah, I did. My burner does that automatically. That's never been a problem before, so I couldn't imagine what is.
