Copy DVDs (moved to new thread)
Hi everyoneone I am new to this community and cant write English that good,hope I am in the right post first of all.I ve got this problem trying to copy dvds with shrink and dvd decrytor too,after coping and try to play it on the dvd player the signal BAD DISC apperce,this is happing after I changed the gforce fx5200 to the fx 5500 one,I am not sure this is the cause or not,another fact is some dvds and game has no video but only sound,is it something to do with codecs?many thanks in advace hope to solve this as soon as possible.....thanks from Malta Mario

Hi there, we cannot assist you in performing illegal activities by copying DVD's. It seems very likely you are speaking of commercial DVD's as you wouldn't need a program like dvd decrypter to copy your DVD.
As far as watching these on your computer. Your video card manufacturer should have provided an OEM version of a supported DVD Player where you can play them back on your computer monitor. Furthermore, some software configurations I've seen require the use of what is called AC3Filter but since you claim to have sound and no video, that generally means you do not have a DVD decoding engine installed. Even if you installed your OEM player for the geforce, it's very likely Windows Media Player would then play your DVD. But if you have no 3rd party drive or software to playback DVD's, it's not going to happen without codecs, software, or drivers of some kind. Quote:
