hello...
i just want to know why 1. my itunes does not recognize my ipod 2. my laptop doesnt recognize my ipod as well normally, when i connect my ipod to my laptop, it will be automatically detected as a removable drive...itunes will also automatically open where it will show my ipod as well as its contents/playlist. Just last week i used it. i didnt configure anything in my laptop . I cannot completely say that there is something wrong with my usb port because it recognizes the ipod because when i connect the ipod it charges. My view is that my ipod isnt recognized by my itunes and laptop because it isnt fully charged. But how come before, even if its not fully charged its being detected. I use my ipod in 2 computers, one in my office desktop (i used it this week and i was able to download songs while it charges) and at my house a laptop. can someone help me please? glyzkie |

Re: Ipod Nano Gen 2 Inquiry
Note:
Just because your usb port is capable of charging your IPOD doesn't mean the USB port is working properly. Especially within in an operating system. Do you have any other device you can test it with such as a flash drive, dvd drive, hard drive??? What needs to be verified is that the operating system can properly detect and mount any device attached to your usb port provided by the laptop. If it was working before and isn't working now it can be one of several things. But one thing at a time. Quote:
