Booting Up - 4 Generic USB Devices Problem

Hello.

I have a Compaq Presario SR1300NX Desktop PC. Everytime I boot up, I get a "safely remove hardware" icon in my active taskbar. When I click it, it shows me 4 Generic USB Readers labled SD, CF, SM, and MS. My computer does have a 5-in-1 card reader or some such. The problem is, I have no devices plugged into any of my USB ports other than my printer and game controller, but there are no issues with those. In essence, my comuter is telling me to safely remove these readers that do not exist. Any ideas on how I can solve this issue. While I do believe it's in fact, not hurting anything, after 2 months, it's starting to get rather annoying.

Thanks for any help in advance.

My System

Check compaq for a bios update or see if anyone else is compalining about this bug. Also check for upfdated drivers if you haven't done so.
I also (not in a compaq tho) have added a 5 in one to my PC and it dosen't give thoes messages. Even if I add a memory card I don't need to eject it, just remove it and select another diectory.
Are you using another software to look at card contents (I used to have a Nikon Software which was always scanning the port. After installing another Photo Software the registry got messed up and the Nikon Software crashed whenever a card was inserted. It could be due to software conflicts. I removed the Nikon Software.
