Device Manager Problem

Hi,
I've got a problem with my DVD burner, so thought I'd check whether or not it was set for DMA. I went into Device Manger and opened IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, but instead of the normal channels that it shows, there was just one entry for NVIDIA nForce IDE controller. How can I get back to checking each channel? Perhaps I'm being thick, but it is 3.30 am here

Does your DVD burner show in Device Manager under DVD/CD-Rom Devices? What is the problem you have been having with it?

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, both my DVD drives are correctly shown in Device Manager and are working correctly (according to Properties).

The problem I've got is that when I try to burn an image using Nero Burning Rom I get an I/O error and my machine hangs with the DVD drive light flashing. I tried burning the image with ImageBurn and got the same result, so it's not Nero that's at fault, but I did a complete reinstall of Nero just to make sure. I then tried copying data to the DVD drive and that worked fine.

Hi Cellus,
I've solved the problem of the IDE controller channels in Device Manager by updating the driver. Both channels are set to Ultra DMA 2, but my problem is still there so that isn't the cause.
