Hard drives

You can run as many as your motherboard supports. Typically, if you have 2 IDE cables, you will be able to run 2 cd-roms and 2 hard drives or 1 cd-rom and 3 hard drives. You can also purchase a RAID card and increase the amount of drives in which you can add. It is not uncommon for many servers to run 6 hard drives or more at a time. So to answer your question, yes, you can connect 3 hard drives if your MB allows it.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. Is your Hard drive and IDE drive?

So you have a free IDE cable? Plug that sucker into the cd-rom and set the cd-rom up as slave using the jumpers. That ought to do the trick.

the floppy cable will no help you. If you look at where the ide cable for the other 2 cdroms is plugged into the motherboard, do you see another ide connector that would allow you to add a cable? It should be right next to it if it is there..... perhaps with nothing plugged into it. Of course, I am seeing a lot of boxes now that only have one IDE connector.... so if that is the case, I think that you are out of luck.

i am running 2 dvdrw and a cdrw,if you only have 1 ide port you will need a pci ide card
if you run 2 dvdrw they will cater for everything you need, unless you are doing multiple burnings
