Problems with MiniSD Card
Hi,
Yesterday I purchased a Sandisk 256mb MicroSD Card with Adapter and an off-brand RSMMC/SD/MMC Card Reader/Writer. The MicroSD has no problems working in my phone, but when slid into my computer's SD slot, although recognized, it asks for me to insert a disk into the drive. (D:) It does the same using the USB adapter, and I have tried both the SD slot and USB adapter on four different computers. (2 with SD Slots and USB ports, 2 with only USB ports.) None of them had any success. Since all of the cards have a noticeable brush when being inserted, when the MicroSD slides into the USB adapter without any friction my father said the contacts weren't touching and to send it back. But while at school I slid the MicroSD into the USB adapter and then the adapter into a school laptop's SD slot and it worked perfectly. I've tried installing various drivers, formatting the card on my phone, etc and no progress. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Welcome to TSF. You might want to verify that it isn't the adapter. I would simply bring it back to the store (or send it back). If it's a store, bring a laptop along (if you can) and test it there.
