Sony DRU-830A drive won't close

Hello. The title says it all.

I just bought a DRU-830A from Best Buy.
I installed it as the slave drive in my Vaio PCV-RS210. The master drive is a CD-RW drive that came with the computer.

Start up the computer and first thing it spits the drive open. I try to close it and it does......then 5 seconds later it spits it back out. lol. The computer "found" the hardware and everything. I also installed the Nero 7 essentials. Restarted a few times......still just opens it back up again.

Any idea?
I guess I can just take it back out and exchange it for a new one tomorrow or something, but if I can find a fix here........well, it'd be ideal I guess.

Thanks. Matt.

Fixed it myself for once. lol.

Turns out that there are two face plates so that you may match it to your computer color.
Well, I used the white one that came on it and because the RS-210 vaio has a front cover to the tower, it wouldn't fit. The white drive cover itself is a little wider and so it seats differently. I didn't know this. I thought the white and black ones were the same thing in different colors. They aren't, they are slightly different.

Anyway. Hope this helps to whomever has a similar problem.
