Sandisk SDMX1 - 512MB
I got one about 3 weeks ago and it worked fine, it is a refurb. Yesterday, I had it mounted on my linux box and forgot to unmount it before I unplugged it. I have done this in the past, and all that has happened is the data changes I made would not be present. This time, it only says it has 132MB instead of 512. It says this in the recording menu of the player itself and in the properties tab on linux. What could be wrong, I have tried resetting it to factory defaults, but that just changed settings, nothing else.

Well, sometimes flash drives get corrupted. My suggestion is to back up everything you can off the drive. Then, if there is a reset button on the drive, try pressing that down for 30 seconds to a minute.
If not, there are several programs that can fix/reset a flash drive. I don't remember any off the top of my head right now, but I'll look them up a bit later. |
