Windows restarts on plugging in USB storage

Every time I plug in my 1gb Transcend or 1Gb MuVo V200 into the USB, windows restarts. If i connect it before starting the computer, I see the WindowsXP logo and within the next 5-7 seconds, Windows restarts again, and this keeps happening. Anyone know why this happens?

Is this happening all of the sudden, or were you not able to use it on this computer at all ? Did you make changes in your computer's software/hardware configuration ? And one more thing... Did you test the memories on another computer ? Or test other memory on yours...?

Can you tell us your other system specs, including power supply make/model and tell us the table on the side of the PSU? This could be a power issue, or it could be a driver issue.

Well, I guess it must be a power issue only, or maybe damaged MoBo circuits. I disabled the front USB ports by setting the USBPWR5-6 jumpers to DISABLE. Now the rear USB ports work just fine, and Ican plug in anything normally. No more restarts.

Thanks for your help!
