cdrw compatible with win98?
I have recently gotten a new cdrw for my compaq presario,which is winxp.I would like to use the old cdrw from the Compaq in my win98 computer.
Is a Philips CDD4851/71,compatible with a computer running win98? The computer I would like to install it in is a NEC 9950 ready,pentium2,400mhz,256mb ram,win98se,40gb hd.If it is,where can I find the drivers for it? Thanks for your help! sfaceman |

Given that the device is ATAPI compliant (most of them are) it should work on any windows machine. Windows will provide its own CD drivers without difficulty, you will of course need a copy of Nero or whichever burning software you use to get the full use out of it.
