Removing RAM and installing more

My Dell Dimension 2400 came with a memory board that was not fully loaded with chips. I have two slots for memory. I have since purchased two memory boards that have all the chips and I inserted one of these new memory boards in the empty slot and left the original memory board in its original slot that it was in when I purchased the computer. Now I want to remove the very first memory board that has just some of the chips and put in the second memory board that I purchased so that my computer will be full of all the RAM it can have. Can I just take out the first memory board and put in the new fuller one?

In theory, yes. Mixing RAM brands and specs can cause problems. Do you know the specs on all of the RAM?
