adding different rams together

hi, upgrading to windows 7, need for than 2 gigs of ram, so Im taking it from my old computers, technically, they have the same speed but made by different manufacturers (800mhz), but the uhh don't know how its called but timings? are different (like 5-5-5-5-5 or w.e.)

How would this effect my computer? Should I make them run at the same clock speed?

I never recommend mixing ram if you want things to go well regardless of what type of ram, what timings they are, or what brand of ram it is. Just too many issues.
