[SOLVED] PC Keeps Restarting at Boot.
Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out? In an attempt to solve a minor problem pf my pc not being able to go into sleep mode, I attempted the solution of going into command prompt and using the command: "powercfg -h on" (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...8WS.10%29.aspx). Succeeding with this, I then proceeded to put the computer into sleep mode. However, wanting to use the computer again later I turned the machine on, but my problem is whenever I press the power button the pc starts but then almost immediately turns off and then on again and is trapped in this cycle. For some reason as well the light the indicate if the power is on (i.e. the light where the power button is) does not light up. Worst still is that my monitor will not start up either, so I have no idea whats going on. I have a Asus P5QL motherboard and am running Windows Vista. Just to add, I have not messed around with over clocking. Any help or ideas are welcome with much thanks. Last edited by LGAka; 10-24-2009 at 07:48 PM. |

Re: PC Keeps Restarting at Boot.
Try resetting the CMOS.
UNPLUG the power cord to the PSU-Move the jumper from pins 1 & 2 to pins 2 & 3 for ten seconds-move the jumper back to pins 1 & 2.
