Changing power supply
I live in ireland and im thinking of buying a HP / Hewlett-Packard Pavilion Elite e9180f Desktop Computer in New york in 3 weeks time. The power supply in it is 120v. In Ireland we use 220v-240v. I asked a friend of mine would it be possible to change the power supply when I get back to Ireland and he said it would. He said he is 80 per cent sure that the new 220v - to 240v power supply would work with the motherboard instead of the 120v power supply but he said to check just in case.
Thanks in advance for any help. Peter. |

Re: Changing power supply
and welcome to the ForumEvery power supply I have seen either has a 120/240 volt switch or will automatically switch to either voltage. Look on the power supply lable to see what inut voltage it will handle
