Power Cord Malfunction

I have an averatec 3700 series. My power cord is a little wacky because it has to be in a certain position to deliver any power to the computer. sometimes these positions change. yesterday morning the power cord was working in its usual wacky way. now i can't seem to find the position at all. please help me out. I don't know whats wrong with it.

Are you referring to the power cord to your power supply? If so, replace it to see if that resolves the problem.

Try another power cord, one from another computer or monitor will work. If that doesn't fix it then I'd think the plug on the power supply is damaged, you might manage to get it fixed but it'd probably cost more than it's worth. If it's the PSU that came with the computer then I would get another one, post your system specs and we could suggest one for you.
