Best PSU to buy??
My PSU died on me this morning... of course it was Ultra 550w PSU. I was stupid not to replace it any sooner... Hope I am lucky, hope it doesn't damage any components...
In order for me to replace a decent PSU... which PSU would be best to buy? I researched myself and found listing of recommended PSU -Cooler Master -Cool Max -OCZ -Antec -PC & Cooling -Sigma -Roswill -Enermax -Corsair -Seasonic Which PSU would you recommend the best? I use PC for Graphic/Web designing and the program relies on photoshop, flash and 3ds max doesn't need much of PSU wattage. Thanks in advabce Last edited by EquiNOX; 09-30-2009 at 07:06 PM. |

Re: Best PSU to buy??
-Cooler Master - Some are good some are bad
-Cool Max - Generally poor-quality -OCZ - Average, they have some good ones but most are mediocre to mid-range -Antec - Used to be really good, but quality has suffered a lot recently. -PC & Cooling - Very high quality, highly recommended -Sigma - Never heard of them. -Roswill - Absolute garbage--don't touch it with a ten foot pole. -Enermax - Decent, but *way* overpriced. -Corsair - Excellent quality, one of our perennial favorites, I'm using one myself. -Seasonic - One of the biggest-name manufacturers out there, are the actual makers of some other brands' high-end units. Highly recommended.

Re: Best PSU to buy??
Sys specs:
Mobo: Asus M2A VM HDMI Proc: AMD AM2 Dual Core 3.2Ghz Vid: GeForce 8600 256MB PCIe (yes it do have fan, but does not attach to PSU connector) Mem: 4x 2 GB DDR2 (8gb total) Hope that info sufficent enuff... I m looking at PC & Cooling right now. Edit: Unfortunately.. there isn't PC & Cooling at tigerdirect.com. only few at newegg.com but expensive. Are there any other links that sells pc & cooling at reasonable price?? Last edited by EquiNOX; 10-01-2009 at 11:55 AM. |

Re: Best PSU to buy??
This would be a good choice:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...=Corsair%20550 Quality PSUs are expensive, but a cheap-o costs five times as much in the long run if it dies and takes out the rest of the computer.
