BIOS does not recognize Ram, How can i get it to?

Ive just added 2GB of Buffalo PC3200 DDR SDRAM 400MHz RAM to my MS - 6566E 845E MAX ver 1 Motherboard, yet it only recognizes 1GB i've swapped the sticks and slots around and both work on their own. I flashed the BIOS with the latest update but still no luck.

any idea what the problem might be?

Interestingly CPUID recognizes the 2048mb of RAM installed.

Thanks for your help.

Are you getting this reading from Windows or the Bios?
If the Bios and you have Quick Boot enabled, Disable it, reboot, it should now see the correct amount, then you can enable Quick Boot again.
