Need Some RAM upgrading tips.
I am looking to upgrade the RAM in my notebook and need some help. I know how to physically install the RAM, but have a few questions.
I currently have 2GB (2 x 1GB) of memory, and my biggest question is whether or not I have to upgrade both slots. Can I upgrade to 3GB by putting a 2GB card in one slot and leaving 1GB in the other? or do I need to upgrade both slots? This is the card I'm most likely going to get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820208341 Also, I have a faint recollection of someone telling me that the 32-bit Vista (which is what I use) can only use 3GB of RAM at a time, so if I can just upgrade to 3GB, would an upgrade to 4GB while using this OS be worth it? |
