I just came back from a week long trip knowing that I would have a problem with my custom rig because my father called while I was away saying my computers loading into a black screen. Ive been at it for several hours now and have been using google god to try and find a similar problem to trouble shoot. It all seems to vary so I'm going to post here.
I boot my computer and BIOS loads fine. When XP begins to load and finishes, it immediately becomes a black screen with the pointer in the middle which is movable. Safe mode is the same thing except with the hud display of the words, "safe mode". After rummaging through the internet, I've come across the possibility of it being due to the power supply and I'm asking if my power supply can really be whats causing my problem. (came to this conclusion because repair disk didn't work) Spec: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.46(I think) ATI Radeon HD 3780 x2 crossfire 4 gigs of memory(running on a 32bit:[ looking for 64) OCZ psu Abit IP35 mobo usb peripherals Last edited by robyrob; 07-14-2009 at 03:07 AM.
