Suprised high pitch from speakers while off

Finally paid a little attention to my central computer, restarted it and it stalled after POST. turned it off by power button and back on and nothing happening. I have a high pitch noise coming from my exteral speakers with power plug out, sound oscillated quickly and kind of popped and fizzled then stopped while discharging capacitors. the high pitch comes back as soon as I plug it in. I unplugged everything (hardware but to no avail. the fizzle doesn't happen anymore, time for bed soon, not investigating anymore now. I'm thinking (and hoping) PSU anyone ever seen or heard this?

PSU could be a possibility.

Re: high pitch from speakers while off

this site is a joke. I have not had a single problem fixed here. All you team members just give quick unhelpful answers as though you are getting paid per response not issue solved. Come on, is "PSU could be a possibility" supposed to be in anyway helpful? Just like all the other responses I get from you guys. I doubt you even know that much about these subjects. Had an issue with an HP laptop overheating and fried the MOBO. The best team member response is that it was dirty. Come on, he had no idea of the common problems with those models and should not have said anything at all. Pretty sure I know how to maintain my equipment. He just felt the need to write something. The site moderator or owner should really restructure this place. In the meantime, I'll vent about my issues elsewhere.
