RAM Problems HELP!!

Tried to install vista 64bit and 4GB Ram, but whenever i did my graphics card would work stating 'No resources are avialable Code 12' in device manager.

Ive found out that when i put my old 3GB Ram back in the graphics card works. Is their a problem with the RAM i bought. And if so could you tell me which one i should get for roughly same size and price.

I did a scan on Crucial UK and it said my mobo could support... http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscan...85693B31D926C3

Denver 10 MOBO
550Watt PSU
8600GT 215 GPU
4GB PC2-8500 Kingston RAM

Here is my computer motherboard.... http://support.packardbell.com/uk/it...0128501&g=1400

Here is the RAM i bought... http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148859

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

P.S. I think the problem could of being that the RAM i bought requires 2.2V, but the ones crucial suggest only have 1.8V. Am i right in assuming this.

Re: RAM Problems HELP!!

I've seem many problems with HyperX RAM.
Try one stick at a time. You can test the RAM with Memtest86+.

Re: RAM Problems HELP!!

Tried it with one stick in and it works OK, does this mean it cant handle the total voltage required with two of them in? and its taking power from the GPU.

Re: RAM Problems HELP!!

You tried each stick in each slot?
What brand and Model is the 550W PSU you're using?

Re: RAM Problems HELP!!

Just realised its only a 425Watt.

Here it is though.. http://www.falconcomputers.co.uk/pro...oducts_id=2745

Tried them in each slot seperatly and they work just fine, but when their in together my graphics card wont work.

Re: RAM Problems HELP!!

excuse me? you went to CRUCIALS site to check for compatibility and then you went and bought KINGSTON memory?
er, you may not be understanding the basic use of these web pages, they are to check that THAT brand of memory is compatible, not ANY brand, if you go to to Kingstons web page guess what? it doesnt support your Packard Bell MOBO
