Computer wont boot after installing new ram
Hi, My motherboard is a EP-4SGM8I which had 256mb of DDR ram installed. I decided to upgrade this to 1gb.
I took out the 256mb and installed the 1gb one now the pc will post but not boot windows, instead either hanging or restarting constantly. It has reached the login screen once. Even when i use the original RAM it does not work. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tchlink:top:en This was the RAM used in the install. According to this page: it fits all the areas well http://www.epox.com/product.asp?ID=EP-4SGM8I Please help! thanks in advance. |

Re: Computer wont boot after installing new ram
that samsung is high density ram, you want low density ram.
http://www.upgradecomputermemory.com...8I-Motherboard bios cannot reliably read/use the spd from that ram (can try setting the bios manually to 3-3-3 and see if that works though).
