OCZ Reaper 1150MHZ Running at 333mhz?

I'm not extremely knowledgeable about computers so I'm wondering why the 2 gigs of OCZ Reaper DD2 I just bought is running at 333mhz

Everest says this..

Memory Speed:

DDR2-667 (333 MHz)

Memory Timings:

@ 333 MHz 5-5-5-15 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 19-35-3-5-3-3 (RC-RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP)
@ 270 MHz 4-4-4-13 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 15-29-3-5-3-3 (RC-RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP)

I'm confused on what its running at since the "Enhanced Performance Profile" is the correct one.

Enhanced Performance Profile
Profile Name High Frequency
Optimal Performance Profile Yes
Memory Speed DDR2-1100 (550 MHz)
Voltage 2.1 V
Memory Timings 5-5-5-15 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)

CPU-Z is saying 333mhz.. not making much sense too me.

Any help?

Re: OCZ Reaper 1150MHZ Running at 333mhz?

Did you upgrade the RAM?
Have you tried to adjust the speed in the Bios?
DDR2800 would have most likely been a better choice.
Brand and model of Mobo-CPU.?

Re: OCZ Reaper 1150MHZ Running at 333mhz?

I haven't upgraded it, how do I do that?

Haven't tried adjusting the speed in the Bios I figured it would automatically set it, didn't wanna sit through crashing attempts. Is that something I would most likely have to do?

Why would ddr2800 be a better choice?

Micro-Star Int'l Co.,Ltd. - MSI 945P Neo3 (MS-7236)

Intel Corporation DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, 2133 MHz (8 x 267)

sorry I'm not too familiar with this stuff :)

Now that we know what Mobo you are using, it makes things a lot clearer.
MSI says *Support Dual channel DDR2 667/533/400 memory*
http://us.msi.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=945P_Neo3-F

Best solution, w/the Mobo you have, would be matched pair of 2X2GB DDR2 667.
Second solution, a Mobo with a faster Chipset (i.e. P31-P45) that supports the faster RAM.

Re: OCZ Reaper 1150MHZ Running at 333mhz?

Alright, so is it running at the max the mobo supports? or is there a way I can tweak the BIOS to achieve the max 667 or 550mhz?

Yes, it is defaulting to what the Mobo tells it. You "might" be able to get more out of it in the Bios. I'm not familiar with MSI Bios.
You would do better returning the RAM and exchanging it for RAM that your Mobo accepts.
