Need a new power supply for Gateway 835GM
I need to replace the power supply on my Gateway 835GM. It currently uses a 300 WATT HIPRO Power Supply (24 pin, model # 103108) that it came with. I have been getting conflicting information as to whether I need a special gateway compatible power supply, or if pretty much any 24 pin power supply will work.
When I chatted with Gateway technical support, they told me to contact www.skyline-eng.com for replacement parts. Their website is down, but I was able to reach them on the phone. They told me that any 24 pin power supply would work, but others have told me that it will not. Does anybody have any more information or advice? Specs: Gateway 835 GM Intel Pentium D processor 820 Dual core 2.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB 512 MB x 2 DDR 2 Thanks in advance! |
