Computer will not boot up
I am trbubleshooting an eMachines T3418 desktop computer. This computer has a 160 GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM, DVD burner, and the Windows Xp. This computer has been inoperable for about 4 months. I have pressed the power button multiple times and the computer will not come on. I ordered another power supply and it still will not boot up. All connectors from the power supply are in their appropriate place. Any suggestions?

Re: Computer will not boot up
I hadd the same prob after installing a brand new pwr supply. My Pc would do literally nothing upon pressing the pwr button and it was connected properly etc etc. It turned out the pwr supply i bought had 2 wires going into 1 of the sockets on the 20 pin connector and my previous one did not. After manually removing the 2nd wire and reattaching all back together my PC booted 1st go! Maybe u have the same prob?
