Screen goes into Power saving mode!
Hello.
I have a problem with my screen. When I turn on my screen, it automaticly black with a blue message box in the middle saying: Digital Power Saving Mode Then the power light on the screen goes from blue (on) to orange (standby). I spoke with some mates of mine, and most of them said it was the video card, or the graphics card. I am writing on this forum because I'd rather save the money if the problem is salvageable. Anyone got some advice? I tried to start my computer, but nothing happens, the screen just stay in standby mode. I tried to pull the plug from my computer to my screen and reinsert it, but the blue message box just reappears and says the message mentioned above, and then goes standby. I've tried using another screen and another plug, but it still wont work. Over the last few weeks this problem has gone worse and worse. First it started off when I tried to open full-screen games. Now it goes into power saving mode constantly. I'm getting desperate. Anyone please help! Regards, Schko |

Re: Screen goes into Power saving mode!
Hello,
Post the make/model of the PC. If this is a custom build then post the specs.

Re: Screen goes into Power saving mode!
I have a LG flatron L1953TR...
I see some other people have written about their issue in here, but most of them are getting to the windows loading screen. As soon as I turn on my screen it displays the message, doesnt show anything. |

Re: Screen goes into Power saving mode!
The message you are seeing, on the monitor, is telling you the monitor is active but it's not receiving anything from the PC.

Re: Screen goes into Power saving mode!
I don't really know anything about computers or what's inside it, but what I do know is:
It's a Phoenix Computer Ram: 2 GB DDR2 Ram Graphics: Nvidia geforce (dont remember which version) This is written on my motherboard: Dunno if this is what you're looking for though: M26GTM-3VP-P3 No idea what the PSU is |

Re: Screen goes into Power saving mode!
The psu is the power supply unit. Box (usually at top of case) that the power cable plugs into the back of. This is what supplies power to your computer. It should have a sticker on the side of it. Copy down what it says and post or better yet take a picture and post.
The motherboard is a jetway. Are you saying the "brand" of the computer is Phoenix or is that just what you see when it boots up? That would be Phoenix bios and has nothing to do with brand.

Re: Screen goes into Power saving mode!
The brand of my computer is Phoenix.
On the top of the box it says: Codegen 400W with thick black writing. Here is some pictures of what I think my PSU is. Atleast it's where the power cable to my computer is plugged in: |
