Question Screen says no input signal

I recently bought all the components for my computer and then took them to my step dads house and he put them all together for me. The computer worked fine for about 2-3 months. I have to turn computer off when im done using it and unplug it due to bad wiring in my house (I dont think any of the outlets are grounded) to protect it from power surges and lighting, etc. Any way when i went to turn my computer on the other day the tower came on like normal all the lights and fans and every thing but when the monitor came on it said no input signal for a couple seconds then went black and the light on it turned orange. I have tried rebooting my computer, unplugging and replugging everything in, i have tried using my boyfriends cords on my monitor and even tried his monitor on my computer just to have it say it was in power saving mode or someing like that. i tried turning it on and hitting the sleep key on my keyboard and still nothing. I have all the specifics of whats in my computer if u need to know that, but i would really like to fix this problem with out swiping my computer and losing all my data if at all possible. I hope some one can help with this problem!!!

Re: Screen says no input signal

you need a quality 650w psu 80+ efficiency

the Prudent way PWI-PR550 ATX 12volt looks generic quality at around 70% efficiency
