What number should I pay attention to on my power supply?

I have 3 numbers on my power supply:

One says just that it is a 400W power suppy

Another says (+3.3V & +5V=150W Max)

And the last says (+3.3V & +5V & +12V1&+12V2=385W Max)

I calculated the recommended PSU wattage for my new rig to be 153w.

Is that 3 more than my power supply can support or am I fine?

Re: What number should I pay attention to on my power supply?

Hello,

List the specs for your system (MB,RAM,CPU,etc)

List the make/model of the PSU.

I think your numbers are off somewhere or your building a laptop.

Re: What number should I pay attention to on my power supply?

Those numbers came verbatim directly off of sticker that is on the power supply in my computer

The new rig I am getting soon is

AM3 3.0gz dual core
Two 2g sticks of DDR2 Ram
Geforce 9500 GT
Hitachi 1 TB HD
Asus mobo that supports everything I am getting (don't remember the name)

Re: What number should I pay attention to on my power supply?

i don't know how you calculated it to 153w

for a pcie system the one i gave is the min to be at
you need a min of 26a available on the the 12v+ line for use
which means the label needs to show a min of 38amps on the 12v line
your not going to find that on a 400w
