How to switch PSU fan off when Suspended?

I am trying to configure my Asus K8V-VM motherboard to go into suspend mode when I am not using it (I'm using the 'sleep' button on my MS keyboard to initiate this mode). Everything seems to work, both entering and exiting from this mode, except for the cooling fan in the PSU. This continues to run. Is there some way I can get that to turn off too?

Re: How to switch PSU fan off when Suspended?

There is no adjusting a PSU cooling fan to the best of my knowledge.

You are quite correct: having taken the covers off I find that it is the CPU heatsink fan which does not power off when the system enters the suspend state. The power supply fan keeps running, but is making very little noise and consuming little power (I suppose). The CPU heatsink fan on the other hand is relatively noisy and therefore consumers more power.

I don't understand why it continues to run even in suspend mode - this does not happen on my other desk-tops (which usually have ASUS motherboard). Both ASUS probe and SANDRA show that my CPU (AMD Athlon 64, 2.2MHZ Venice core) is running at less that 40 deg. C, so it can't be a heat problem when the CPU is suspended.

Is there some BIOS or jumper setting I have overlooked?
