Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
Please list the brand name and wattage of the power supply.
Then, go in to the bios and check the temps and voltages because that is normally the most accurate reading you can get. The sensors and this program do not appear to be reporting accurate data.

Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
See if you can borrow one and swap it in there to try. It is most likely the power supply, but that would be a way to make sure.

Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
That info doesn't give any CPU temps. Look in the Bios for accurate readings. I assume you got the PC to boot to get a reading with CPUZ?

Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
While all that information is good, I would prefer to see the temps and voltages in the Bios. That is usually more accurate than any other program. Also, please list the power supply brand name and watts.
Addendum: I guess Tyree is either a faster typist or only had to wait about three or so minutes for the forum to catch up. I waited, and waited, and waited for this darn message to post and then when it did, it doubled........GRRRRR!

Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
easy gun powder! you can only kick a "borrowed" mule so hard ![]() it does look like you will need to get another power supply your 12volt reading of 11.7 volts while ideling in the bios isnt good; it wont take much work before the 12volt rail droops out of spec and causes all sorts of instabilities. after you get your power supply changed, we can check your temps and see if they remain as warm as they are now ..... hard drives at 40C aint good I suggest the Corsair 450-VX for your rig

Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
it means dont be impatient people are trying to help but are helping others aswell.
your power supply isn't powerful enough to run your system. Linderman has already suggested what you need and I agree with him. Your amperage from you 12v rails isn't enough to run your system.

Re: Do I need a new Power Supply ?
at idle in the bios this reading is not "healthy" +12.0V - 11.71V
this should be around 11.9 or 12.2 when you work the system (like gaming) your voltages will droop too low
